My responsibility
I led the implementation and user acceptance testing through go-live and executive sign-off. In my role at Citrin Cooperman, I also managed a five-person Workiva implementation team, coached consultants, resolved customer escalations, and led testing and training.
This was delivery leadership across the technical work and the people using it—not simply configuration of a reporting tool.
What had to come together
- Bidirectional integration
- Connecting Workiva and the customer’s system of record through an API.
- Access and traceability
- Single sign-on and an audit trail within the implementation scope.
- Acceptance and launch
- User acceptance testing, go-live, and executive sign-off.
The delivery lesson
For me, an integration is not the whole implementation. It also needs a customer who understands the workflow, a team prepared to support it, and a clear acceptance process.
That is the connection between my technical and consulting work: making the system usable, explaining it to the people responsible for it, and carrying the engagement through launch.
